Mullholland (nee O’Neill):  1st April 2026 (peacefully) at Causeway Hospital, Sheila Marie RIP, late of Brookmount Care Home and formerly of Parkview, Ballymoney, much loved mother of Joanne and Francis, dear mother-in-law of Tony, loving granny of Shea and dearest sister of David, Billy, Lizzie, Mary, beloved twin sister of Anne and the late Hughie, Jack, Eddie, Dessie, Leo, Jimmy, Jean and Ruby.  Funeral took place on Friday 3rd April to Our Lady and St. Patrick’s Church cemetery. We provide care and support for around 4,000 people living with a terminal illness, their carers and loved ones in Northern Ireland each year.

Nursing care 

There are more than 190 Marie Curie Nurses working in Northern Ireland, caring for around 3,250 terminally ill people and their families in their homes each year.

Hospices

Our hospice in Belfast cares for around 480 people each year, including people staying in the hospice and those coming in for the day to use the hospice’s services.

Helper volunteers

Our Helper volunteers regularly visit terminally ill people in their home or talk on the phone, offering companionship and emotional support, as well as practical help.

Funding

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, our services are offered free of charge to people with any terminal illness. We need to raise over £3.5 million a year to fund our hospices and nursing care in Northern Ireland.
